However, today’s blog highlights offerings on the NYC Housing Connect site that have

~ more than 30 available apartment units each,

~ application deadlines in February 2025, and, which are

~ located in 2 of the most desirable boroughs in NYC: Manhattan and Brooklyn.

For the next post I plan to re-visit the Light.

FIRST,

Apply to Lotteries

Check often for new developments that fit your household.

You are should apply to all lotteries for which you qualify.

YOU CAN ONLY BE SELECTED FOR LOTTERIES TO WHICH YOU APPLY. In the vein of the other NY lottery, “You gotta be in it to win it.” Different prize, same principle, friends.

Selection and Eligibility Confirmation

Wait for selection: Applications are likely to take several months to process.

Expect to be informed about your application status within two to ten months after the lottery deadline.

Confirm eligibility: If selected, you’ll need to confirm your eligibility and provide documents to show you qualify for the apartment.

Sign a Lease

If you are matched to a specific unit, you may sign a lease.

PLEASE NOTE – MANY MORE units are available on the NYC Housing Connect website.

Do peruse the selection of available rentals and apply to any apartment for which you believe you qualify.

To reiterate – Remember to create an account and then log into the NYC Housing Connect portal to submit an application.
