Help! Love, MOM

It is winter in my part of the world – thankfully – slowly giving way to spring.

But, if Winter were a person, my guy did allllll the things on his bucket list.

Ice. CHECK

Absolutely friGID temps? CHECK!

Cloudy skies for days? CHECK!

Sleet and slush? CHECK!

Snow. Snow. And more SNOW? CHECK!

Heart stoppingly high utility bills? CHECK!

This crazy man, Winter, went to the amusement park and hopped on EVERY RIDE!!

Winter went to the bar and got sloppy drunk!

Babee, I can see Winter and Olaf sitting on a beach somewhere right now with a congratulatory adult, cold drink.

Folks believe a lot of things today, so to be clear, I do not believe in Mother Nature, or Winter (or Olaf for that matter although I did enjoy Frozen), or the seasons as a person or an entity.

God is sovereign. Period.

He sovereignly controls EVERYTHING !

Therefore, every atom; certainly, every snowflake that flieth (King James version of the Bible language) at noonday or at midnight is controlled, indeed commissioned, and consecrated for the work of piling up in my driveway.

Do any of the worthless idols of the nations bring rain?
    Do the skies themselves send down showers?
No, it is you, Lord our God.
    Therefore our hope is in you,
    for you are the one who does all this. Jeremiah 14:22

The Lord does whatever pleases him,
    in the heavens and on the earth,
    in the seas and all their depths.
 He makes clouds rise from the ends of the earth;
    he sends lightning with the rain
    and brings out the wind from his storehouses. Psalm 135:6-7

LORD, strengthen me as I await Your will

… in spring weather.
