What’s near 25 Water Street? Lower Manhattan at Your Feet!
I love Manhattan (also referred to as NYC) for various reasons but two stand out.
No exaggeration- I love all of New York, BUT Manhattan is my “home”. I have lived there, in Harlem, twice in my life.
The other reason that I love Manhattan is for, what I’m calling “C.D.C.” or the convenience, diversity and cool factor. Let’s explore that a little.
Manhattan is CONVENIENT
Although we New Yorkers tend to complain BITTERLY about the slightest delay, mass transit is generally good. Have you noticed that most subway routes go through Manhattan? Where ever you are, whether in the boroughs or beyond, the chances are that, you’ll be home quickly, if you live anywhere in Manhattan.

Manhattan is also convenient because many amenities are either neighborhood-based or they’re very close, by virtue of mass transit.
For example, there’s Bowling Green, New York’s oldest park and a neighborhood treasure, while further uptown, just a train or bus ride away, is the famed, Central Park, the first public park built in America.

Another beautiful and historic neighborhood in walking distance from 25 Water Street is the South Street Seaport or Pier 17.
The Seaport offers dining, beautiful views of the harbor, and attractions including movie watching on warm spring and summer nights.

Who can forget to mention many newcomers’ inspiration to come to America, namely, The Statue of Liberty?
Manhattan is DIVERSE
I believe that it should be said more often that Manhattan is a diverse place.
Manhattan is diverse, partly, because of the many people of all religious, ethnic and socio-economic groups who, among other pursuits, travel to and through Manhattan daily to work, attend school, take advantage of medical visits, and, of course, vacation.
Queens may be the most diverse borough in terms of ethnic groups in residence; but, Manhattan is the place where all the groups work and stray and play.
Manhattan is COOL
If you have a Manhattan address it gives you a certain “cool” factor. For many, it’s a marker that you can afford to live well in New York City.
A Manhattan address is also a sign that you have access to convenience and diversity, which is, you know, pretty cool.
When you’re moving into 25 Water Street, no one will need to know that you pay an affordable rent right there in good old Manhattan.
Affordable rent: SUPER cool!!!
